Annual NPDES Erosion Control Training with M/I Home's Chicago Division

February 16, 2023, GRWA's Noelle Hoeffner and Ellen Raimondi conducted an Annual NPDES Erosion Control Training with M/I Home's Chicago Division where we came alongside the client to review their Corporate Policy and how it coincides with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) ILR10 Permit for Construction Activities for storm water discharges.  The training was designed to review M/I Homes Corporate Standards for erosion control, pollution prevention, monitoring, reporting, and maintenance.  We provided an overview of the NPDES permit and outline of its requirements.  We also went over Best Management Practices that focus on minimizing the discharge of sediment and other construction site pollutants in storm water as well as our inspections and reporting. It was a great opportunity to share site specific examples with the entire construction team to continue to follow the best measures for Construction Site Compliance and Reporting.
